If you have ever installed our Facebook Application, you already have a Nifty account! But you may be able to access your lists via facebook, but you don't have a password to log in here at Niftywishlist.com
To gain access to your list outside of facebook, you can do it the easy way or the hard way.
The easy way

Go to iWant
Go into facebook, and go to the Nifty Wish List application.

Click to Nifty
On the main page where your list is, you'll see a very prominent message on the right side. Click it, and you'll be brought to Nifty - preauthenticated - along with your facebook credentials.

Register
Register at Nifty and supply us with your email address and a new Nifty password. Wait for the message to confirm your email address, and follow the instructions.

Log In
Log in to Nifty using your new credentials. Now you can access Nifty from outside of Facebook!
The hard way

Register at Nifty first
This will create a new Nifty account, one that has no idea you are a previous user via facebook. You'll end up with two accounts: an empty one at Nifty, and a pre-existing one that was opened when you installed Nifty for facebook.

Log In
After verifying your email address, log in to Nifty using your new credentials

Connect Nifty with Facebook
In your new (empty) Nifty account, go to your Nifty Facebook Settings, and follow the instructions to connect your Nifty account with facebook. This may involve logging in to facebook inside a frame.

Merge your accounts
Nifty will suddenly detect that two accounts exist with the same facebook ID. Since they have both been authenticated by facebook, they must belong to the same person (you). You will see a prominent message warning you that your facebook account is associated with more than one Nifty account. Choose which account you want to keep, and Save.
Merging accounts performs the following actions:
- Profile information (name, time zone, etc) is kept from the account you choose.
- Categories from both accounts are moved into the chosen one
- Items from both accounts are moved into the chosen one
