So, you have an online store. Or you review products. Or you have a blog, and you like to add Nifty buttons to things. And you'd like to add an "Add to Nifty" button to your items, so your readers can bookmark and save an item to their list. It's easy!
Social wish lists increase sales. Get your items onto people's lists - it's a sure way to get more people buying your goods. They may not buy right away - and that's the beauty of it. When someone wants to buy the item as a gift, a link to your store will be right there in front of them!
Create a URL like this:
http://www.niftywishlist.com/newitem/ ?itemname=[urlencoded name of item] &itemprice=[price] &itemurl=[urlencoded URL of your page] &itemphotourl=[urlencoded URL to an image] &itemdesc=[urlencoded description]
Use that URL in a link, like this:
Here is the full HTML:
Remember to urlencode all the information before adding it to this link! Learn about URL Encoding.
If the user is already logged in to Nifty, they will be sent directly to the "add an item" form, with all this stuff prefilled. All they have to do is review the information, and press "Save".
If the user is not logged in, or is not yet a member, we'll guide them through the registration or login process, then bring them to the "add an item" form to add this item to their list.
