We're not out to get you. And we're not evil. What we really want is to make your Nifty experience as useful and engaging as possible; that means we collect whatever data will help to achieve that goal.
We are not responsible for the Personal Information you choose to submit in your Personal Profile. Everything you choose to share with Nifty should be considered public information, shared with anyone who knows how to request it. Nifty may show or not show your information selectively according to privacy or privilege rules defined in the application, but this should not imply that your data is ever secure or private. When you update information, we may keep a copy of the prior version for our records. Pictures you upload are designated as public and may be indexed in search engines and can be viewed by anyone, whether or not they are Nifty members. Nifty may collect or purchase other information about users from other sources, such as paid listings or confirmations or feedback from third parties engaged in promotions with Nifty.
Nifty collects and analyzes the information collected by the server logs, including your IP address, User Agent, referrer, and log of your Nifty HTTP requests. Those log files may be shared with 3rd party partners for Analytics, and may be cross-referenced with personally identifiable information, to create personalized experiences.
Nifty shares your data with other users of the application, according to the privacy settings you choose. Most of the information you enter into Nifty is accessible in some way or other, to both authenticated and non-authenticated agents. Most of your information is also available to Search Engines.
Nifty does not share your password or 3rd party account authentication details with anyone. Nifty will also never sell your email address.
The Nifty server is good, and the code is well crafted. We've taken precuations to prevent XSS and SQL injection; the developer knows most of the script kiddie tricks and has put blocks in place to prevent hackers from getting in. But that said, Nifty can not guarantee that your personal data is safe or secure. If you're entering data into Nifty, it should be considered publicly accessible.
This policy can change at any time. If we decide to change this policy, the modified version will be posted here. In the event that our policies change, Nifty may use your information in a manner materially different from that stated at the time of collection, and will do so without notifying users.
